Hoist the Colors

stole the queen from her bed

The seas be ours

Some men have died

and some are alive

and others sail on the sea

– with the keys to the cage...

and the Devil to pay

we lay to Fiddler's Green!



The bell has been raised

from it's watery grave...

Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?

We are a call to all,

pay head the squall

and turn your sail toward home!

Indeed a pirate's life for me, wind in your sail and whatnot.... Wouldn't it be amazing? Sailing the seas, going to far off places. It wouldn't be worth it though, without the right person by my side.....savvy?

A pirate doesn't give up though.. . I don't give up.

A Knight's Code

A knight is sworn to valor.

His heart knows only virtue.

His blade defends the helpless.

His might upholds the weak.

His word speaks only truth.

His wrath undoes the wicked.


The right can never die, If one man still recalls.


The words are not forgot, If one voice speaks them clear.


The code forever shines, If one heart holds it bright."







I try to live by it, I truly do. I try to be worthy, to be brave understanding and kind.



But a lot of times I find myself wanting. Coming short of the sort of man I believe I should be.

Perhaps someday I will find myself to be more than I believe I am now.

Perhaps someday I will be the man I am supposed to be.

Because it hurts... it hurts because by not being the man I am supposed to be, by not managing to be strong enough... brave enough... just enough... I lost what I wanted the most... who I wanted the most.
